In this day of modern age, Information Technology (IT) plays a big role. With the introduction of computers, the business world was changed forever. Using computers and software, businesses use information technology to ensure that their departments run smoothly by allowing businesses to keep up with the supply and demand as consumers grow more anxious to have their needs satisfied.
Server – a server is an instance of a computer program or device that accepts and responds to requests made by another program, known as a client. Servers are used to manage network resources. For example, a user may set up a server to control access to a network, send/receive e-mail, manage print jobs, or host a website.
Desktop computer – A desktop computer is a personal computer designed for regular use at a single location on or near a desk or table due to its size and power requirements.
Monitors – Monitors are display devices external to the computer case and connect via a cable to a port on the video card or motherboard. Monitors are considered output devices since they usually only serve the purpose of outputting information to the screen, some of them are touch screens as well.
Laptops – A laptop computer is a portable personal computer powered by a battery, or an AC cord plugged into an electrical outlet, which is also used to charge the battery. Laptops have an attached keyboard and a touchpad, trackball, or isometric joystick used for navigation. Laptops have ports and other interfaces such as USB ports, network interface cards, audio speakers, digital media drives and memory card slots (such as SD card readers), which are built-in.
Tablets – A tablet is a highly portable PC whose primary interface is a touch screen that occupies the full length/width of the device but whose speaker and microphone are not positioned for hand-held calling.
Printers – A printer is an external hardware output device that takes the electronic data stored on a computer or other device and generates a hard copy of it.
Scanner – A scanner is a device that takes a picture of an image that exists outside the computer, such as a photograph or a drawing on paper. As the scanner takes the picture, it digitizes the image (breaks it up into dots that can be recreated on the computer screen with electronic signals) and send this digital information to the computer as a file. Then you can take this file of the scanned image and use it in your work.
Projector – A projector is a machine that uses light to create an image on a surface normally a flat screen like a movie screen or a wall.
Router – A router is a device that analyses the contents of data packets transmitted within a network or to another network. Routers determine whether the source and destination are on the same network or whether data must be transferred from one network type to another, which requires encapsulating the data packet with routing protocol header information for the new network type.
Hub – A hub, in the context of networking, is a hardware device that relays communication data. The hub contains multiple ports. When a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.
